We had a nice unexpected surprise in Niagara Falls. Marshall's grandma, aunt and uncle were finishing up a 2 night stay at Casino Seneca Niagara. We visited with them for an hour, enjoyed the view from their penthouse suite and tried our luck in the casino. Net impact of Casino Seneca Niagara - minus $60; total time spent gambling 30 minutes.
The border crossing over Rainbow Bridge into Niagara Falls, Ontario was a breeze. We parked the car at our hotel, the Surfside Inn, which was about 2 miles upriver from Horseshoes Falls. The hotel looked decent from the outside, on the other hand, the room smelled like a slaughterhouse. We opened the windows, prayed for a strong breeze and walked to the Falls.
These pictures are Horseshoe Falls and American Falls. It was a gorgeous day! And the rainbows were in full force...
We stayed by the Falls until sunset, watched the fireworks and ventured back to the slaughterhouse, aka Surfside Inn. The bad news, the breeze didn't air the room out, it still smelled like the slums of Dubai. The good news, the hotel manager refunded our $$, and we headed into the Canadain woods. 3 hours later we checked-in into the Comfort Inn in Brantford, Ontario.
Have a great time guys, can't wait to see more updates! We really do have a beautiful country :)
