Day 2 - Wednesday, July 14

We spent today walking around the northern end of San Francisco, including Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Giradelli Square, Chinatown, the Italian section and some very posh neighborhood's overlooking the bay. We were on our feet for the entire day and it was a heck-of-a workout.

The Bay Bridge connects San Fran to Oakland, you can see it in the background here:



We climbed to the top of Coit Tower, which is in the northeast part of the city - here's the view from the top (the 3rd pic is Alcatraz island):
